What started as a creative outlet has grown into something so much more than I could have ever imagined. This space brings together everything I love — natural textures, coastal tones, and pieces that feel personal, effortless, and a like little one-of-a-kind treasures.
Each piece is made in small batches and inspired by the ocean and the moments that make life feel softer and more meaningful, all while carrying its own little story, just like all of us. Nothing is mass-produced, no two pieces are ever exactly alike — which is exactly how it’s meant to be.
MEET THE ARTIST
Hi, I’m Rachel – the hands and heart behind Seagrass Studios!
Born and raised just outside of Akron, Ohio, I followed the sunshine and made my way to the North Carolina coast in 2014 — and found the place my soul feels most at peace. The beach has always been a place where I go to reset, recharge, and collect little treasures that often inspire what I create!
My husband and I met in 2020 and got married in 2022! He’s my sounding board, my biggest supporter, and the one who helps bring all my wild ideas to life. We enjoy spending time with our sweet puppy Luna, hunting for shark teeth, and trying out new restaurants in town!
I’ve always been a maker at heart. My grandpa was an artist, and I like to think I carry that same spark — the need to create something meaningful with my hands. I often envision or dream of an idea in my head, then figure out how to bring it to life through lots of trial, error, and a healthy dose of perfectionism. I’ve learned to embrace the imperfect, too though — it’s often where the most beauty lives and gives our pieces their uniqueness.
Seagrass Studios grew out of a quiet season of self-discovery — a time when I was searching for what truly made me happy and gave me purpose. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a heartfelt business that allows me to connect with others through art, nature, and the beautiful coastal place I call home. Whether I’m sculpting, crafting, or meeting new faces at a market, every part of this process is rooted in love, curiosity, and coastal calm.
